Well, I sympathize with J, although I haven't heard today's podcast yet. He'll, there has NEVER been ads in them before. I know the shoe is a money making venture, but this is a case of the norm being disrupted. I, for one, would gladly pay a premium for the uneditted version minus the commercials. I know this isn't a possibility, but damn it, the guys are screwing with the reason most of us love the podcasts in the first place. You guys wanted a reasonable reason to be mad , there you go.

Dude get you panties out of a wad....Yes, it sucks....we all knew this was coming. And the chances of having it the way was is never gonna happen!!
Face it we had it great, ....The show at its pinnacle..with Sam, Scott, (insert your favorite news chick), uncensored (and at one time free)..and most of all the "Screw the company" attitude. Unfortunately SHIT HAPPENS!!!!! Get over it.....WE WERE SPOILED.
Yes the reason I podcast is strictly to NOT have to listen to commercials but guess what you can always fast forward them....The show has to do what it has to do to survive.
I know it is coming, so I am backing up what I can.....I have the feeling show content is going to be exceeded by commercials... and some day ...none.
Get it while you can kids... Face it, we here are a SSSMMMMAAAAALLLLLLLL crowd of faithful, diehard listeners...yes listeners. Unless your last name is Gates or Trump and you have the funds to purchase a "Morning Show".. what effects us has little effect in the world of reality.
I haven't listened to the podcast yet......I'm sure my thoughts may change...

I knew people would come in here and be apologetic towards it all. "It's a new corporate environment." "At least theyre still giving us something." Just fast forward." Blah blah blah. We werent spoiled. They were putting out a product worth paying for and thats what we did. First they said it would be uncensored and we thought "it's been uncensored before, no biggie." Then they split it into two separate files and we thought "well, I can just push track forward, no biggie." Then they put the advert in, thats pretty much the last straw. So now that they've decided the podcast is just a by product of the rest of the stuff theyre doing and there was no outcry this is what we get. They have two new people on staff now so what do you expect. And its not like corporations listen to the public anyway. If they did, I could go to McDonalds and get a McRib and a coca cola with real sugar in it.

OOOOOKkkkkkk 1:47:00 into the podcast and I hit my FIRST commercial....a 60 sec. spot.
Lets be realistic ......almost 2 hours into the cast (equaling almost 2.5- 3 live) and only having ONE spot.....I can deal with that.
I just hope it doesn't get out of control ......Dude get a grip..
First off it is a radio show..entertainment....
before Podcasts existed the only way to catch a good "bit" was live or through a "best of" (some of Scott's best work if I do say so myself).... Then the website came to light ( a story unto itself) and it was functionable ..it worked and the podcasts were available CENSORED.(free)...as the site and the show grew and moved..bla, bla, bla....the subscriptions came into play...bla, bla, bla, more content for subscribers, webcams, UNCENSORED PODCASTS bla, bla,bla....
Then all of the BullShit economic crap started rolling downhill.....I'm not sure about where you live but here I can honestly say I have seen A LOT of business close including several major auto dealerships....So you know the guys are feeling the effects also....yeah it may seem like we are getting "big timed" but be grateful they are still operating!!
Things are gonna change.....I just noticed that I did bitch a fit about "bits" being run into the ground and having them played over and over the following day...Lately not so much.....has anyone else noticed this??
